What's the meaning of pressure controller?

A pressure pump controller, otherwise recognized as a pressure switch or automatic pressure control valve, is an apparatus designed to regulate the functionality of a pump unit according to the pressure exerted by the substance being pumped. Its conventional operational methodology entails:

Pressure Sensing: The pressure pump controller incorporates a pressure sensor to detect the pressure profile of the circulating fluid. Typically, this sensor manifests as a diaphragm or pressure transducer.

Set Point: The controller is pre-configured to a particular pressure threshold, designated as the set point. This preset value is determined according to specifications of the system and can be manually modified.

Switching Mechanism: Upon detection of a pressure drop below the set point, signifying a diminished pressure or increased fluid requirement, the controller initiates the pump. This activation is typically facilitated by an electrical switch or relay mechanism.

Pump Activation: Commencement of the pump operation results in an augmentation of the system pressure until it aligns with the set point.

Shut-off: Upon attainment of the set point, the controller instructs the pump to cease its operation, thereby preventing excessive system pressurization.

Cycle Repeats: As fluid demand fluctuates, the pressure pump controller persistently monitors the pressure and adjusts pump activation accordingly to sustain the preferred pressure level.

In summary, the pressure pump controller guarantees that the fluid pressure in the system remains within the specified range, ensuring efficient and dependable operation while safeguarding the system against potential damage caused by overpressurization or underpressurization.
